Oystercatcher Trail- A Total Escape into Unspoiled Nature

This 4 day hiking trail is an escape from reality while you meander and explore the peaceful and untouched coastline from Cape St Blaize Cave in Mossel Bay to the Gouritz River. Whilst enjoy your hike on the Oystercatcher Trail you will stay in top class accommodation in luxury lodges and rustic thatched Cape cottages. You will hike past the ancient stone age caves along the route at Pinnacle Point and can experience seeing dolphins, whales, seals, black oystercatchers and huge variation of other bird species that are peacefully at home in this tranquil environment.

Every day is different as you venture from cliff tops to ancient sea front caves and wonderful unspoilt beaches. The natural flora and fauna are breathtakingly beautiful in their natural habit. Fynbos and herbs, wild oysters, scuttling sandpipers are easily found going about their day, unperturbed by your presence. Swim in small safe bays and crystal clear rock pools. Sunny warm days are separated by pitch black nights light up by the millions of bight stars and plants that can be seen clearly with the naked eye. This is truly a total escape into nature.
