And just when you think we have had all sorts of cool and
fabulous guests, Augusta de Mist was proud to be visited by the Wakefield
Grannies, a group of women from Wakefield in Quebec, offering support to AIDS
Orphans and their Grandmothers in Alexandra Township, South Africa. They are
also affectionately known as the Alexandria Gogos. The activities of
the Wakefield Grannies help AIDS Orphans and their Grannies in Johannesburg's
Alexandra Township and the events they produce benefit the community through
practical support groups for mothers and children, orphan bereavement groups,
school requirements, food parcels, vegetable gardens and love.
