The Rockwell Hotel received a lovely review from Courtney Pedersen:
"At
the beginning of December, three of my closest girlfriends and I
decided we wanted to do a Girl's Night Out, and I suggested that we go
to a hotel bar to 'Class it up', as our usual Girl's Night meant going
into the same club as we always did, but just minus our boyfriends.
The
Rockwell popped into my head, as it is just around the corner from
where one of the girl's live, and she offered to let us park at her flat
and take a cab everywhere for the night.
We
felt like rock-stars walking through the lobby to get to Steelworx Bar,
and it just so happened that there was a big soccer game playing that
night, so the tables were all filled with guys. We were the only girls
in the place!
The
second we sat down, our waiter came right over (I can't remember his
name, unfortunately, but he was really awesome!) and we ordered a round
of cocktails. I have to say that the Cosmopolitan you make is absolutely
YUMMY, and such a good price - we were a bit wary, as some hotels are
ridiculously expensive, but The Rockwell proved that you don't need
exorbitant prices to make a place classy.
As
the night progressed, we didn't have to order ourselves any more
drinks, as a gentleman and his friend kept sending over shooters for us,
which we loved!
We
sat outside at one of the tables next to the couches, and we had such a
good night! My girls have asked if we can do it again soon, and now
that Summer has really arrived, we'll be back soon, and we'll be
bringing the troops!
