"We booked a month's rental at the Rockwell through the BIP group - it
was a great stay. Our two bedroom two bath unit was well equipped,
clean, and modern, with a great kitchen and fabulous balcony. The rental
included secure parking. The location couldn't be beat, right across
the street from the Cape Quarter shopping center, walking distance to
the V & A waterfront, and in the heart of the gay village. The
Rockwell is a combination of an apartment and hotel - thus they had
reception, a bar, restaurant, and concierge - which worked perfectly.
For short stays you can book directly with the Rockwell, but you can get
significant discounts for longer stays - such as I did through the BIP
group (who were excellent)The only reason why I do not give the Rockwell 5 stars is due to the irritating internet policy. Wifi is not included, and costs a pricey R50 a day! You can buy weekly or monthly passes for a slight discount, but still it is ridiculous in this day and age to have to shell out US$5-$10 a day to access the internet.
All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely return."
