Agulhas Country Lodge watches a a baby Rock Kestrel

This is a baby rock kestrel.  The parents have been nesting in the eaves of the balcony roof for 12 years. They mate for life and apparently can reach the age of 26. They have, in our experience, produced 1 healthy chick every year. Once I thought there were 2 but I am not sure. Like all babies, it screams and performs and demands food all day long. He is so sweet to look at!
