This little town, with their quaint village-like housing is always full-to-bursting with friendliness and happy people. And as many know, Montagu Country House alway has their doors open, so book your rooms now!
Next month is the Great Ride Cylce Tour. Between 21-26 October 2012, Cycling enthusiasts of all abilities
will again be afforded the opportunity to tour the beautiful Western
Cape in a safe and fully supported road bike tour. This event is
suitable for all levels of touring cyclists.
This year's experience starts in the Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn and meanders towards the heart of the Cape Winelands, finishing in Wellington. The cyclists will arrive at and stay over in Montagu on the 24th October.

And from the 25 - 27 October is the Rose Show.
To help you celebrate Spring, the Rose Show Committee,
Montagu, is allowing you the opportunity to showcase your most prized
rose specimens!
Both novices and experts are invited to display their roses,
creating an international theme to tie in with this year’s Olympic Games
in London. You are encouraged to create a cornucopia of colours in
your display.
Local businesses are also invited to display a rose arrangement, together with flyers for their business. Everything must, however, tie in with the “Olympic Rose” theme. They especially want to encourage schools to enter and there will be a prize for the best entry.

So whether you are going to support fellow cyclists, or you are a "budding" horticulturist, Montagu is the place to be.
