SAVE A LIFE
Over the next two months, Plett Animal Welfare Service (PAWS), is hosting a number of events to help save some furry friends.
Why not make October or November the month to save a life?
PAWS started in the 1990's with the aim of providing animal welfare to the Bitou areas surrounding Plettenberg Bay.
This non-profit organisation, chaired by Mrs Di Butlin, currently operates a mobile Inspector who services 11 different townships in the Bitou area, namely Harkeville, Kwanokathula, Wittedrift, New Horizons, Green Valley, Bossiesgif, Plettenberg Bay, Kurland Village, Natures Valley and Covie.
Many of the residents in these townships live below the breadline and cannot afford even the most basic vetinary care for their animals.
PAWS relied on the genrosity of the Plett Community and regularly organises Fun-raising activities to sustain a basic service to these communities.
Every Wednesday, find your way down to Old Nicks where you'll be able to adopt a new friend!
Events to look forward to over the next two months - An Open Garden Day, a Car Boot Sale, and the PAWS Street Collection.
Make a difference this month, to someone who can't help themselves.
Keep an eye out on twitter @PlettGameRes and on Facebook for updates on any upcoming events for PAWS... We hope to see you there!
