Weddings at Montagu Country Hotel

Our wedding packages include the full use of all our hotel rooms, the public areas and staff. 

There are a variety of churches and chapels within walking distance of the hotel and one of the hotel’s classic cars can be selected for the bride's use to and from the ceremony. 

We have beautiful Iceberg roses in the garden and most of our spring and summer weddings are held outside.

Cascade Manor gives away a prize for a great poem.

The owners of Cascade Manor in Paarl were blown away with one entry this week! They are giving a spot prize of 1 night’s accommodation for 2 people at Cascade Manor including breakfast.

This was the entry that caught their attention.
Cape Country Routes I wanted to stand out a bit and was thinking there are so many ways to enter and show our love for this great Province of ours and the Garden Routes. But like I learned, nothing means anything if its not from the heart, so I found one of my favourite poems and transformed it into my own. This is dedicated to one of my awesome sister's Ardelene Harding and our wonderful time spent together as children on the amazing holidays our parents took us through the Cape Routes.

Vakansies met familie in die Kaap:

Een vakansie wat ek nooit sal vergeet
Die genot daarvan kon ek nie meet
Aan my sy
Was die wat die meeste beteken vir my
By unieke plekke het ons oornag
Vroeg weggetrek die volgende dag

By Hermanus/George/Robertson/Grabouw/Port Elizabeth, etc aangeland
Pragtige blou see en mooi wit sand
Fynbos eie aan daardie deel
Met blommetjies soet en geel

Die groot branders raas
‘n Visserman sit aan sy aas
Die wind stil, die son skyn
In die verte lê die hoë wit duin

Deur die strate loop ek en sussie hand aan hand
Beskou die huisies van elke kant
In die oggend is die dorpie mistig
Om daar te bly lyk so rustig

In die aand moeg en uitgeput
Dis dan wat ons so lekker dut
Ons kuier en braai vleis
Vêr hoor ons die see se gedruis

Die terugkeer hartseer
Veral met die goeie weer
Hoop ek kry weer op ‘n dag die kans
Om weer met ou sus in die Kaap se branders te kan dans.

Die Kaap het ‘n unieke bekoring
So bly dit dit is my woning!
